The effect of digitalization on corporate added value in Hungary
In our study, we examine the impact of digitalization on corporate added value in the case of Hungarian companies using statistical and econometric methods. We build a micro-level econometric model on the database of the sixth survey of the Competitive with the World" research program of the Competitiveness Research Center (VKK) of the Corvinus University of Budapest. We analyse 5 clusters of companies based on the level of digitalization. Using control variables, it can be shown that companies that use less digitalization are able to produce significantly lower added value. This effect can be observed in the commerce and vehicle repair sector, but there is no significant difference between clusters in the manufactoring sector.
